Sabeeka Alshamlan - Founder, Warsha

Sabeeka is a gender researcher, a certified coach (CMI Level 5) and a trainer, and is certified in Inclusive Strategies for the Recruitment, Retention and Promotion of Women with experience in sustainable development, gender equality and community empowerment. With a passion towards building capacities of youth and women in the region, she has founded Warsha Consultancy and Development. In Warsha, Sabeeka works directly with organizations interested in advancing the experiences of women, professionally and socially, and interacts with them through capacity building, consulting, coaching, research and development activities.

Sabeeka is a Certified Women Crisis Advocate at Shamsaha Women Center, Projects Director at Diversity on Board, a certified facilitator for Hive Women Leadership Program, a Fellow of Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens and Ghaya Fellowship Program for Social Entrepreneurs. She is an Alumni of the Manama Hub of the Global Shapers Community and sits on the board of directors for AIESEC in Bahrain.

Prior to founding Warsha, Sabeeka has worked with different regional and international NGOs such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on sustainable growth and gender projects, the international youth leadership organization AIESEC and Ruwwad Al Tanmeya in Amman designing and implementing empowerment programs for women and youth. Sabeeka holds a Master of Research in Gender Studies from the University of Portsmouth.
